Teaching Music in the Digital Age
Why?
Making musical connections relevant
The nine muses from Greek mythology have historically been regarded as symbols of inspiration and artistic creation - something which lies at the root of all successful teaching and learning.
Time to play. Time to create. Time to share. These are philosophies which MaestroMuse embraces.
Check out our series of explanatory videos which offer advice and illustration on how you can use this resource to keep your pupils and children engaged in learning for the future, as well as supporting your own capacity to embrace the digital age.
What?
Establishing learning connections
This platform offers a range of musical education products and services:
- Create-Your-Own Learning Material for Teachers / Parents or Schools / Groups
- Ready-To-Teach Packages
- Free Resources
Create-Your-Own Learning Material
A monthly subscription to our online teaching platform with a FREE trial period, from which teachers / parents can share all their online resources with their pupils.
It allows them to allocate work to individuals or groups, and for pupils to share messages and files (including audio and video) with their teacher - thus creating a practice facility whereby teachers will gain an insight into their pupil's work in-between lessons, and help them to become better at practice.
Teachers can create their own digital work modules for allocation as and when their pupils require it. There is a secure chat function to aid communication in between lessons and for those working through online lessons.
Video help files and tutorials are freely available for those who sign up to the service, as is email support.
Ready-To-Teach Packages
Packages require a one-off payment for lifetime package access.
In many ways packages are the digital equivalent of printed books. However, unlike printed books, they contain a wealth of digital resources specially designed to make learning an even richer experience.
Your first package purchase will also give you a FREE trial of the Create-Your-Own Learning Material platform!
Online Assessment
Unlike a practical music exam, our online assessments give detailed feedback by an expert on aspects of the performance in a supportive and objective manner, offering advice on how to improve and what steps to consider taking next.
These are ideal for a different range of scenarios - from a pre-exam check, to more general feedback about current progress - in a friendly, detailed and encouraging manner.

Private Teachers & Parents
This digital learning platform provides a 21st century bespoke learning experience. Through using MaestroMuse your child will develop essential independent learning skills increase their rate of progress and help them to achieve greater and more lasting levels of intrinsic motivation.
We encourage the use of both audio and video recording as a means of self-evaluation, and as a way to bridge the gap in between weekly lessons by sharing progress as it happens. We also encourage pupils to adopt a discriminatory approach to online resources, such as YouTube, with the help of parents and the guidance of teachers. This is clearly an essential part of safeguarding but also, in musical terms, a highly desirable part of learning to become a better musician.
Please note: We strongly advocate informed agreement between teachers, parents and pupils about the way in which you will use this platform.
Our contractual obligation is solely with the named teacher who has subscribed to our teaching platform or with the account holder where the purchase of packages are concerned. As such we will not enter into any correspondence with anyone other than the named subscriber.
